Over 50 years of rugby in Union County. We are a community-first club with competitive programs for youth and adults, rooted in the traditions of the game.

About Us

The Union County Mudturtles Rugby Football Club was founded over 50 years ago with a mission to grow the sport of rugby in New Jersey. What started as a small group of passionate players has grown into one of the most respected clubs in the region.

We run competitive men's and women's tackle programs, a thriving youth tackle league across multiple age groups, and flag rugby programs in towns throughout Union County. Our coaching staff is dedicated to developing athletes at every level — from first-time players to seasoned veterans.

We believe rugby builds more than great athletes. The values of respect, discipline, and camaraderie that define this sport are at the heart of everything we do at UCRFC.
